The FaeriesI walked alone in the woods
With a heavy and sorrowing heart
My one true love had gone from me
So hard for us to part

I came upon a shady glade
The sun streamed gold between the trees
And all the ground was as a sea
Of bluebells swaying in the breeze

I lay down in the sea of blue
To rest my troubled mind
For grief had stolen sleep away
And peace was hard to find

And as I lay upon the ground
I fancied I heard a ringing sound
The breeze was fluttering all around
Like a million gossamer wings

I opened my eyes and beheld a sight
That filled me both with wonder and fright
My own true love in the golden light
Dancing on shimmering wings

The faeries swirled around her hair
The sweetest perfume filled the air
Her step was light, she floated there
Held high by her rippling wings

When I sleep I see her still
Dancing with a smile
And when I wake I linger there
For just a little while

Though I've often searched and searched
Always it’s in

SadnessSoft raindrops falling,
gently running down my face.
I cry not with tears.

First snow here today. Found these tiny stars suspended in a cobweb, it was too cold for them to thaw. It isn't a technically brilliant photo but I wanted to share these snowflakes with you.
